Some issues that you encounter with your IT Glue account can be solved by changing your browser, clearing the browser cache, or turning off auto-fill and the built-in password manager in your browser.
Some browser issues may be caused by the browser itself. Use either Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. Generally, for best results, use Chrome.
Do not use Internet Explorer unless you have to. It will work but with some qualifications.
Clearing your browser cache
If you are experiencing problems displaying IT Glue pages, clearing the browser cache is a good first step to try to resolve the issue. Instructions for clearing your browser cache are different for each browser and version.
Turning off the auto-fill
By default, Google Chrome and other major browsers may offer an "auto-fill" feature that automatically fills out a web form based on data you have previously entered in similar fields.

If this feature is enabled, you may encounter an issue where your browser wants to overwrite a password that is documented in IT Glue. The cause: Chrome and some other browsers will auto-fill password fields if a detected username matches a previously saved sign-in. To prevent this, make sure auto-fill is disabled.
Here's how to turn this feature off in Chrome:
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Advanced at the bottom.
- Under the Passwords and forms section, turn off Enable Autofill to fill out web forms with a single click.
Turning off the built-in password manager in your browser
Modern browsers offer integrated password management: when you enter a password for a site, the browser offers to remember it for you. While you can disable this feature, it is usually enabled by default.
To avoid being asked to save passwords to the browser, turn off the integrated password manager. Instructions are different depending on which browser you are using:
- You may find it helpful to have more than one browser installed on your computer. If you run into problems using IT Glue, you can try moving to a different computer to see if the problem persists. This may help to discern whether your issue was a problem with your browser or computer, or with IT Glue.
