Earlier this month, we introduced filters to help you create notifications. These changes let you set granular criteria for each notification that will help you do even more based on changes in your IT Glue account data.
Today we're announcing that we're changing the name of the feature from notifications to workflows. We originally created this feature to help you get notified about expirations and basic changes, but it evolved into something a little deeper, so we're changing the name of the feature to reflect that. Your notifications can be customized to adapt to your workflow needs, including on a per-organization and per-asset basis if needed. For example, you can develop workflows around domain expirations filtered to certain domains or organizations and then create a notification action for the impending expiration.
Before the update, you could access your notifications by clicking on the Notifications link located on the Account sidebar.
After this update, you will now access your notifications by clicking on the Workflows link located on the Account sidebar.
In addition, you'll find a few other notifications references updated to workflows in IT Glue and in the knowledge base. However, with actions like email notifications, you'll still encounter the use of the term notifications in this feature.
We're always working towards making IT Glue better for you, so we hope you liked this new update! For help on this feature, take a look at our Quick guide for workflows.
