Voice/PBX

This flexible asset will provide an overall picture of a voice/PBX solution to help with management and configuration of the system as well as any issue resolution.

Prerequisites

  • All centralized voice devices have been created as configurations:
    • servers
    • PBX
    • voicemail server
    • switches
  • Attach configuration files directly to the relevant configuration items.
  • Import or create a user manual and vendor escalation procedure in Documents.
Deployment of voice services can vary between providers. Visit Account > Flexible Asset Types > Voice/PBX to ensure the available fields and drop-down options are in line with the information you wish to capture.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the organization you are onboarding.
  2. Go to the Voice/PBX section from the sidebar.
  3. Click + New in the top right corner.
  4. In the Type field, select an option.
  5. In the Manufacturer field, select the brand/manufacturer.
  6. In the Devices field, search for and select the servers, switches, etc.
  7. In the DHCP Options field, enter the DHCP option information.
  8. In the User Manual field, search for and select the user manual you created further above.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Under Related Items (right-hand side of the screen), add the escalation procedures document you created further above.

After all components and procedures are added, you should have the required information to configure or troubleshoot the Voice/PBX solution.
