This article explains how RMM data is displayed in IT Glue. It also covers displaying RMM data columns in IT Glue's configuration list view.
- A Manager role will only be able to see RMM matched/unmatched data for organizations that they have explicit access to. To grant access to RMM data for all organizations, refer to Step 7 of our Adding and removing users KB article.
IT Glue Data vs. RMM Data
Once you have integrated your RMM tool with IT Glue, you can see additional information when you click into a configuration. This combined view shows data stored in IT Glue fields and the data pulled in from your RMM tool. You can click Compare Data to see the source of the data.
You will see which data is written to IT Glue fields and be able to compare it with data from your RMM tool.
In the screenshot above, you will notice some information coming from both sources such as OS and MAC address. If there is a discrepancy in information, RMM data will take precedence over IT Glue data in combined view.
Please see our About RMM Configurations KB article for more detailed information of the differences between data written to IT Glue fields and data overlaid from your RMM configuration.
Adding RMM columns to configuration list view
The default columns in configuration list view show IT Glue data. You can use the column picker to display RMM data in this view.
- With the column picker open, scroll down to find the columns prefixed with RMM. Check the column you want to display, then click Apply to save changes.
- You can now see the RMM columns you checked in the list view.
In the screenshot above, some default columns were replaced with RMM columns. There are now two columns for Operating System information. One is the OS column containing IT Glue data and the other is a RMM - Operating System column containing RMM data. We highly recommend displaying RMM data as this is usually considered to be most up to date.
